PrestaShop Who Is Online

PrestaShop Who Is Online- With the help of this module, the user and the admin can get the information about the visitors visiting the site. The information will include the visitor’s country name with flag and the number of recent visitors.

Check the overview of the plugin in the video mentioned-below –

• Cross Browser Compatibility.
• Display number of active users.
• It displays country of the active users.
• Display the country flag of active users.
• Admin can decide the position of “who is online” block.

• Firstly, Go to the Module Manager in Back office and click on ‘upload a module’.
• After that, Drag and drop the module file or select the file from the system.
• In this way, the module installation will be successful.

For displaying the who is online tab on front end you have to add some code on following files:

1} You have to do editing on ps_cron.php:

Go to modules->blockwhoisonline directory

Add your site link in place of this string “www.sitename.com”.

2} After this you have to do an entry on your server cron tab:

You have to use this syntax-
*/5 * * * * curl http://www.sitename.com/modules/blockwhoisonline/updateactiveuser.php

You have to replace the string “www.sitename.com” with your site link.

This way, the module lets the admin and the user view the number of active visitors on the site.

To get API key for this module,admin has to register on ipinfodb.

You will receive API key which you need to enter in module configuration.

Once installed successfully Admin has to configure the module.

Admin can select the desired position of “who is online’ block.

This block can either be displayed on Home page or on Left and Right columns.

After the successful installation and the module configuration, “who is online” section will appear on the frontend.

User and the admin can even see the visitors country name with flag and the number of current active users.

If “Who is Online” Block position is Home Page :

Note:-  By default the right column is inactive in the prestashop. In order to display the “who is online” block in right or left column, admin needs to activate the right/left column.
