WHAT DOES IT DO…
Whether the products are new arrivals, on sale or up for grabs at the end of the season you need to put them under one set to efficiently micro-manage your shop. But assigning new categories to the products is neither enjoyable nor easy in Odoo. So, why don’t just assign product tags and sort out the products accordingly? Our Odoo POS Filter Products by Tags module lets you categorize the products according to tags in POS.
You can filter the products according to tags and display the relevant products together. And just delete the tag to remove the product(s) from that list at any time. No hassle at all. So, go crazy on the end of season sale or display the finest new collections under one roof.

- Lets you to add single or multiple product tags on the back-end or directly on the online session in POS.
- The admin needs to just deselect the tag(s) from the product to remove it from the corresponding list of products.
INSTALLING THE MODULE
After buying this app from our Webkul store you will get the link for downloading the zip file. Download it and extract on your system. You will see the ‘pos_filter_products_by_tags’ folder. Just copy this app folder inside your Odoo addons path.
Once done, follow these steps:
1.) Go to settings menu and click on Activate the Developer Mode.
2.) Now go to apps menu and Click on ‘Update Modules List’.
3.) Remove the app’s filter and search for the pos_filter_products_by_tags key.
4.) Now you will be able to see the module then simply install it.
Once installed, you will be able to utilize the module’s functionalities as described in succeeding section.
WORKING WITH IT
Let’s take a quick peek at the working of the module-
On the POS Back-End
1.) Navigate through Point of Sale >> Product Tags. Here you can see the already assigned product tags in POS.
2.) Now, click on create to add a new product tag. Enter the name of the tag and hit save. (Easily said and done!)
3.) Click on Product submenu. Open any product.
4.) Here, click on sales tab and you will be able a new label- ‘Product Tags’.
5.) You can add the tags to the product here. The tag title will automatically get added on the POS (if not already present).
On the POS Front-end
6.) Open the POS session. Here, you can see the product tags at the top.
7.) To filter and display products according to the tags click on any tag.
8.) The relevant products will be displayed on the screen.
9.) Alternatively, you can also add product tags directly from the POS Session. Navigate to Settings >> Users on the Odoo back-end and click on the user to whom you wish to allow the permission to assign tags to the products from the POS session.
10.) On the user form-view, tick on ‘Allow tag creation in POS’ under the point of sale tab. Hit save.
11.) Now, again resume the POS session. Click and hold on any product. A pop up appears asking to choose the tag for the product.
12.) You can select any one from the list or add a new one. Enter the name of the tag you wish to add and hit save.
13.) You can now see the entered tag in the tag list on the top of the page.
