Odoo Payfort Payment Acquirer
WHAT DOES IT DO…
With online transactions in the Middle East up by 22% in 2017, the trend is likely to continue in 2018 and Payfort- an Amazon Payment Gateway, has emerged as a viable option to move people towards cashless payments in as many as 7 middle-east countries i.e. Egypt, U.A.E., Saudi Arabia, Jordan, Lebanon, Oman, and Qatar. Odoo Payfort Payment Acquirer Module lets you configure your Payfort merchant credentials with Odoo to make Payfort as one of the payment methods on Odoo website. You can also maintain details for each transaction on the back-end.
FUNCTIONS OF THE MODULE
- It allows integrating the Payfort with Odoo.
- Facilitates adding Payfort as a payment method on the Odoo website.
- It redirects the website to the Payfort checkout page while making payments for secure payments.
- The admin can track details of each transaction on the back-end.
HOW TO INSTALL THE MODULE
Once you purchase the App from Webkul’s store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
1.) Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘payment_payfort’.
2.) Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo add-ons path.
3.) Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
4.) Then, open on Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List’.
5.) In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘payment_payfort’.
6.) You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.
Once installed you will be able to make Payfort as a payment method on the Odoo website.
WORKING WITH PAYFORT…
Integrating Payfort with your Odoo
1.) Open the Odoo back-end and Navigate through Website Admin >> payment Acquirers. Here click on Create.
2.) On the form that appears, Fill in the name of the payment method and choose the provider as Payfort from the drop down.
3.) Then, under credentials tab, fill in the merchant details i.e. Access Code, Merchant Identifier and request Phrase. Click Save.
On the Website
4.) Once done, you will be able to see the Payfort as the payment option on the check out page on the website and the customers can use Payfort for secure payments.
5.) The page is redirected to Payfort Gateway when the customer initiates the payment process.
6.) You can also view the ‘Payment Acquirer by opening the order of the customer. Navigate to Sales >> Orders. Here, open the concerned order. You can see the Payment acquirer below the total amount of the order.
