How to Setup Multi-Store in Magento 2
Magento allows you to set up multi-store for your single-installed Magento. Its configuration is really simple which I’ll explain below. This feature allows you to create stores as many as you need only in a single configuration. All stores share the same domain, be set up as subdomains of the same domain, or have entirely different domains, yet possibly share the same backend for easier administration.
So, in this blog, you’ll learn how to create multiple stores in Magento 2.
In order to create multiple stores in Magento 2 follow these steps:
Step-1:
Go to Stores > All Stores and press the Create Store button.
Step-2:
Fill out the Store Information.
- Select the
Website
that is the parent of the new store. If there is only one website, use the default “Main Website”. - Fill the
Name
for the new store, just for internal reference. - In the
Root Category
field, you will set the root category for the main menu of the new store. The created root categories are shown in the dropdown list, select one for the store.
Step-3:
Press Save Store and check if it appears on the list of stores.
Step-4:
Create a New Store View
- Navigate to Store > Settings > All Stores.
- On the Stores page, click Create Store View.
- Choose the Store of your choice.
- Name the Store View.
- Set the status Enabled.
- Status is an optional field. It is set to the maximum value ‘0’ by default.
