Merchant Story: Two Way Radio Supply
Two Way Radio Supply LLC is an online seller of two-way radio batteries, parts and accessories, based in Ocoee, Florida.
Its range covers radio batteries, speaker mics, surveillance kits, headsets and chargers.
Most of the stock fits Motorola radios, with Kenwood parts and other replacement brands sold alongside.
Buyers include police, fire and military teams, as well as businesses, RV travelers and outdoor users.
The firm says it has more than 15 years of work with original parts, and it now stocks trusted replacement brands too.
Every item is sold at quantity discount pricing, even when a buyer orders just one.
The same owner also runs two battery stores, Battery Distributors and Battery Brokers.
Why Two Way Radio Supply Needed a CS-Cart to Odoo Migration
All three stores ran on CS-Cart, and the business had chosen Odoo 18 Enterprise as their new home.
That made the CS-Cart to Odoo migration a move of three live shops rather than one.
Each store held a large catalog of parts, and buyers find them by the radio model they own.
If filters and tags broke on the way, a buyer with an XPR7550 could no longer find the right battery.
Pages, banners, images and blog posts also had to come across, since they carry the store’s product advice.
Existing buyers needed their accounts on the new stores, so repeat orders would not start from zero.
At the same time, the owner wanted a clear scope: website data only, and no back office records from CS-Cart.
How Webkul Handled the CS-Cart to Odoo Migration
Webkul moved the website data of all three stores from CS-Cart into Odoo 18 Enterprise.
For this, Webkul used its CS-Cart Odoo connector together with Odoo Multichannel.
The client picked a ready-made Odoo theme, so the work stayed on data rather than on design.
What Moves in a CS-Cart to Odoo Migration?
In this project, three groups of data moved: the product catalog, the website content and the customer accounts.
Webkul agreed that scope with the client before any data moved.
Orders, stock and other back office records stayed out, which kept the move focused on what buyers see.
Product Catalog, Filters and Tags
Webkul brought the product catalog across with its filters and tags in place.
Today the shop lists 2,779 products on Odoo.
Buyers can narrow them by Fits Radio Models, Product Type, Brand, Charger Type and Water Resistant.
Model names such as APX6000, CP200d and XPR7550 appear in that filter list.
A dealer price list labelled “CS-Cart: Dealer Pricelist” also appears next to the default one.
Pages, Banners, Media and Blog Posts
Beyond products, Webkul moved the website content as well.
This covered store pages, banners, media files and blog posts.
As a result, the stores’ existing content came across with the products instead of being rebuilt by hand.
Customer Accounts on the New Stores
Webkul also migrated existing website customer accounts into Odoo.
Because of this, buyers who had signed up on CS-Cart did not have to register again.
Since radio batteries wear out and need replacing, returning buyers are a normal part of this trade.
SEO URLs and Store Features in Odoo 18
Moving platforms changes page addresses, so Webkul added SEO URL redirect and rewrite handling to the project.
It lets old addresses point to the right Odoo pages instead of turning into dead links.
Webkul also set up a Google Shopping feed to send the catalog to Google.
For shipping, the project added shipping per product rules and website order tracking.
For printing, Webkul added direct printing from desktop, mobile, Android and iOS devices.
Results of the CS-Cart to Odoo Migration for Two Way Radio Supply
The radio parts shop and its two sister battery stores now run their websites on Odoo 18 Enterprise.
Buyers still search the catalog by radio model, and returning customers can sign in with the accounts they already had.
With pages and blog posts carried over, the stores kept the content they had built up on CS-Cart.
In short, the CS-Cart to Odoo migration gave the three stores a new platform without starting their websites over.
- Moved three online stores from CS-Cart to Odoo 18 Enterprise
- Carried over the product catalog with its filters and tags
- Migrated pages, banners, media and blog posts
- Kept existing customer accounts active on the new stores
- Added SEO redirects, a Google Shopping feed and shipping tools
