Bed Wet is a French online store for bedwetting and incontinence products, run by Kid Medical in France.
The store serves families with young children as well as adults who need daily protection.
Its best-known product is the bedwetting alarm, which wakes the sleeper as soon as it senses moisture.
The range also covers washable pyjamas, waterproof bedding, disposable pads and special clothing for adults in care.
Shoppers can pay by card, by Bancontact from Belgium, by cheque or by bank transfer.
Some of these methods leave an order unpaid for a short time.
Why Bed Wet Needed an Odoo 19 Migration
For its back office, Bed Wet ran Odoo 16, with the PrestaShop store linked through Webkul’s connector.
That setup had worked well for years, so the aim was to upgrade without changing daily work.
Moving from Odoo 16 to 19 crosses three major releases, and each one can break older custom code.
Every existing record also had to arrive whole and correct in the new database.
The store link mattered most, since orders from PrestaShop feed into Odoo all the time.
On top of the upgrade, the team wanted unpaid and draft PrestaShop orders to show their payment method in Odoo.
How Webkul Delivered the Odoo 19 Migration for Bed Wet
Webkul moved Bed Wet to Odoo 19 in one project that covered data, custom code and the store link.
The Odoo migration ran in a clear order: move the data, adapt the code, then test core processes.
Webkul has run the same kind of upgrade for a French classic car parts shop that also sells through PrestaShop.
What Did the Odoo 19 Migration Cover?
The Odoo 19 migration covered three areas: the database, the custom work and the link with PrestaShop.
First, Webkul moved the Odoo 16 database to Odoo 19, then checked the moved data against the old system.
Each existing customization was then reworked for Odoo 19 instead of being copied over in its old form.
Before sign-off, the team resolved any migration issues.
Keeping PrestaShop and Odoo in Sync After the Upgrade
Bed Wet sells through a PrestaShop store but runs its sales and wider business from Odoo.
Webkul made the Odoo PrestaShop Connector work with Odoo 19, so the two systems stayed linked after the upgrade.
Once Odoo 19 was up, the team checked each PrestaShop to Odoo workflow against its Odoo 16 behavior.
Showing the PrestaShop Payment Method on Unpaid Orders
Bed Wet needed each imported order to show how the customer chose to pay, even before that payment arrived.
To meet that need, Webkul added a dedicated Payment Method field to the order view in Odoo.
During order sync, the connector fetches the payment method from PrestaShop and maps it into that field.
The field fills for every relevant PrestaShop order, including those still unpaid or sitting in draft.
Testing Core Business Processes on Odoo 19
After the move, Webkul tested Bed Wet’s core business processes on the upgraded system.
Those tests covered the reworked custom code and the store link as well.
With testing and fixes complete, Webkul confirmed that the new Odoo 19 system was ready.
Results of the Odoo 19 Migration for Bed Wet
Bed Wet now runs on Odoo 19, with its data, custom work and PrestaShop link carried over intact.
Orders from the store keep flowing into Odoo, and the work around them runs as before.
For orders still waiting on payment, staff can now read the PrestaShop payment method on the Odoo order.
