    INSTALLATION

    1. Once you purchase the App from Webkul store, you will receive the link to download the zip file of the module.
    2. Extract the file on your system after the download finishes. You will be able to see a folder named- ‘payment_stripe_checkout.’
    3. Copy and paste this folder inside your Odoo Add-Ons path.
    4. Now, open the Odoo App and click on the Settings menu. Here, click on Activate the Developer Mode.
    5. Then, open the Apps menu and click on ‘Update Modules List.’
    6. In the search bar, remove all the filters and search ‘payment_stripe_checkout.’
    7. You will be able to see the module in the search result. Click on ‘Install’ to install it.

    WORKFLOW

    Let’s begin the configuration of the Odoo Website Stripe Payment Gateway.

    CONFIGURATION

     1. After installation, go to ‘Invoicing> Configuration> Payments> Payment Providers> Stripe Checkout.’

    2. On the page, select ‘State, Company, and Website.’ In the ‘Credentials’ tab, enter the ‘Secret Key and Publishable Key.’

    3. In the ‘Configuration’ tab, enter the ‘Supported Payment Icons’ in the ‘Payment Form’ option. In the ‘Availability’ option, select ‘Countries’ if you want to restrict the usage to particular countries. Select ‘Payment Journal’ under ‘Payment Followup.’

    3.1. In the ‘Payment Flow,’ you can choose from the available options.

    Redirection on the Acquirer Website- This option will allow customers to make payments on the Stripe payment page.

    Payment From Odoo- It will not redirect the user to the Stripe payment page. Instead, it will let customers make payments from the Odoo Checkout page via a popup.

    4. From the ‘Fees’ tab, you can add extra fees as per requirement. On enabling the ‘Add Extra Fees’ option, you will get various options under it, which you can configure as needed.

    5. The ‘Message’ tab allows you to configure the various message to be displayed to customers on different actions.

    6. Once done, save the changes via the ‘Save’ icon, and click the ‘Unpublished’ option to publish the module on the Odoo website.

    MAKING PAYMENT USING THE STRIPE PAYMENT GATEWAY

    7. On the website, add a product to the cart and proceed to the checkout page. Here, you can see the Stripe Checkout option with all the configured cards. Also, you can check the box next to ‘Save my Payment Details.’

    8.1. If you have selected the ‘Redirection on the Acquirer Website,’ you will be redirected to the Stripe payment page.

    8.2. If you have chosen ‘Payment From Odoo,’ the following popup will appear on the screen. Enter the details and click the ‘Pay Now’ button.

    9. Once the payment is successful, you will be notified on the checkout page.

    VIEWING PAYMENT TRANSACTIONS

    NOTE: The payment Transaction option will only be visible in the ‘Debug’ mode. Hence, enable it to view Payment Transactions.

    10. After completing the payment, move to ‘Invoicing> Configuration> Payments> Payment Transactions.’

    11. Click any transactions to view their details and provider (payment provider).
